The Ercol Studio Couch is the brand's most classic sofa. The 2.5-seater was designed by Ercol founder Lucian Ercolani back in the 1950s. The solid ash sofa with overlying upholstery combines the cozy design of the brand with its classic style elements with modern upholstery fabrics from the Danish brand Kvadrat.  

To this day, the designer couch is produced almost unchanged at Ercol's headquarters in Princess Risborough, north of London. A significant part of the sofa is made by hand. In particular, the steam bending process, in which the wood is bent into extremely tight radii under the influence of hot steam, is an Ercol trademark - and has been for almost 100 years. The Studio Couch consists of a wooden frame in which tension belts support three comfortable upholstered cushions as a comfortable base. The three back cushions are stable between the frame and seat cushion. The Ercol Studio Couch is available in natural or numerous colors.
