The FK 87 Grasshopper Chair by Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kasthølm is one of the Danish designers' most remarkable works. The FK 87 Grasshopper chaise longue was designed in 1965 and initially produced by Kill International. After a break, the Danish manufacturer Lange Production took over the licenses for most of the Kasthølm designs.

Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kasthølm met while studying in Copenhagen in the 1950s. In 1962 a joint studio was founded, which was dissolved again in 1970. But in just eight years together, Fabricius and Kasthølm designed numerous pieces of furniture that were clearly influenced by the Bauhaus on the one hand and the rational design of the 1950s and 60s on the other.
