Vitra - Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman, black / black, black ash, leather Premium Nero (XL / new dimensions)
The vitra Eames Lounge Chair was designed in 1956 by the Californian designer couple Charles & Ray Eames. A short time later, licensed production began at Vitra in Weil am Rhein. The design should meet the need for a comfortable, modern armchair of the highest quality and workmanship. Charles & Ray Eames set new standards with the Eames Lounge Chair.
To this day, the Eames Lounge Chair is one of the most famous armchairs in the world. With the lounge chair, the designers created an icon of modern furniture design. The vitra lounge chair is considered an important design classic in modern furniture history. Up until the 1980s, the plywood shells were veneered with Rio rosewood. The characteristic and high-contrast grain of the tropical wood is now replaced by Santos rosewood. Vitra now offers the lounge chair in walnut, cherry and as a "Black Edition" in black lacquered ash.
New sizes XL or classic sizesThe Eames Lounge Chair is available in two sizes. In addition to the classic dimensions with a total height of 84 cm and a seat depth of 56.5 cm, the lounge chair is also available as an XL version with a total height of 89 cm and a seat depth of 60.5 cm. This results in a total seat length stretched by 10 cm. In addition to the highest material and manufacturing quality, each Vitra Eames Lounge Chair has extensive features that give you the security of owning a licensed original product from Vitra. A black metal plaque with the manufacturer's logo is attached to the underside of the wooden shells of the armchair and ottoman. You will also receive a product booklet, the vitra certificate of authenticity and care instructions.
